Eldorado Community Unit School District 4 Board of Education met July 18.

The Board of Education of Eldorado C.U.S.D. #4 met in regular session on Thursday, June 20, 2019 in the Board Room #219. Board President, David Bartok, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Board members present and answering roll call were: David Bartok, Austin Bradley, Ron Bradley, Bryce Hampton, Preston Justice and Grant Loudy. Absent: Keith Oglesby.

Recognize visitors for public comment: None.

Bryce Hampton made a motion to approve the regular meeting minutes for 6-20-19 (Ref to Doc Reg II-1-1). Austin Bradley seconded the motion. Roll call vote taken and motion carried. Voting yes: Bartok, Austin Bradley, Ron Bradley, Hampton, Justice and Loudy. Voting no: None. Absent: Oglesby.

Austin Bradley made a motion to approve the June, 2019 Treasurer’s Report (Ref to Doc Reg II-1-2). Preston Justice seconded the motion. Roll call vote taken and motion carried. Voting yes: Bartok, Austin Bradley, Ron Bradley, Hampton, Justice and Loudy. Voting no: None. Absent: Oglesby.

Preston Justice made a motion to approve the payment of Unit #4 bills (Ref to Doc Reg II-1-3). Grant Loudy seconded the motion. Roll call vote taken and motion carried. Voting yes: Bartok, Austin Bradley, Ron Bradley, Hampton, Justice and Loudy. Voting no: None. Absent: Oglesby.

Building reports were given by each building principal.

Bryce Hampton made a motion to approve the second reading and adoption of board policies 4:60-E, 4:100, 4:110, 4:110-AP1, 4:110-AP3, 4:110-E, 4:150, 4:160 & 4:160-AP (Ref to Doc Reg II-5-1). Preston Justice seconded the motion. Roll call vote taken and motion carried. Voting yes: Bartok, Austin Bradley, Ron Bradley, Hampton, Justice and Loudy. Voting no: None. Absent: Oglesby.

Bryce Hampton made a motion to approve the first reading of board policies 4:170-AP2,E1, 4:170- AP2,E2, 4:170-AP2,E3, 4:170-AP2,E4, 4:170-AP6, 4:170-AP6,E2, 4:170-AP8 and 4:175-AP1,E1 (Ref to Doc Reg II-5-2). Austin Bradley made a motion to accept the insurance policy as presented from Eric Brannock (Ref to Doc Reg II-2-1). Grant Loudy seconded the motion. Roll call vote taken and motion carried. Austin Bradley made a motion to approve increasing the substitute teacher pay to $86 (Ref to Doc Reg II-6-1). Preston Justice seconded the motion. Roll call vote taken and motion carried. Voting yes: Bartok, Austin Bradley, Ron Bradley, Hampton, Justice and Loudy. Voting no: None. Absent: Oglesby.

Garrett Elders entered the meeting at 7:28 p.m.

Preston Justice made a motion to approve a 10 cent increase in school breakfast and lunch fees (Ref to Doc Reg II-6-3). Bryce Hampton seconded the motion. Roll call vote taken and motion carried. Voting yes: Bartok, Austin Bradley, Ron Bradley, Hampton, Justice and Loudy. Voting no: None. Absent: Oglesby.

Sheila Foster entered the meeting at 7:31 p.m.

Mr. Hobbs gave an update on Evidence Based Funding.

Preston Justice made a motion to accept the letter of resignation from Lisa Partridge as cook effective June 30, 2019 (Ref to Doc Reg HH-4-1). Austin Bradley seconded the motion. Roll call vote taken and motion carried. Voting yes: Bartok, Austin Bradley, Ron Bradley, Hampton, Justice and Loudy. Voting no: None. Absent: Oglesby.

Preston Justice made a motion to accept the letter of resignation from Jacob Griffin as high school assistant baseball coach (Ref to Doc Reg II-4-2). Austin Bradley seconded the motion. Preston Justice made a motion to enter into closed session at 7:34 p.m. regarding the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline or performance of district personnel. Austin Bradley seconded the motion. All aye. Absent: Oglesby.

The board came out of closed session at 8:55 p.m.
