White County Board Met March 18.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Chairman McAnulty called the meeting to order. Clerk Sell took roll call with Usery, Spencer and McAnulty present. Pigg and Carter counted as absent

Chairman McAnulty led everyone in the Pledge Of Allegiance.

Chairman McAnulty stated the first item on the agenda was to consider the updated Landscaping Plan, updated Decommissioning Plan, and the Application to Amend Solar Farm Operating Permit to include additional acreage. A representative of Ranger Power was in attendance and gave a brief explanation. She stated that in 2018 they had submitted the first permit application for Solar Farm for approximately 2,800 acres. After some constraints in some of the acreage that was leased In December of 2020 they approached the County Board to amend the project to two phases. Ranger Power started on Phase 1 in February, 2021 and it would like to start on Phase 2 beginning in April, 2021. They stated that with feedback from the Highway Commissioners and Highway Engineer, they have changed their delivery routes. Chairman McAnulty asked how many acres were now in Phase 1 & 2 and was told after some constraints in some of the acreage that was leased approximately 1,000 acres was left. Chairman McAnulty then asked for a motion to accept the Amended Landscaping Plan, Updated Decommissioning Plan, and the Application to Amend Solar Farm Operating Permit. Mr. Usery made the motion to accept the updated plan, seconded by Mr. Spencer. Motion carried 3-0. Pigg and Carter were counted as absent

Chairman McAnulty asked for a motion to adjourn. Mr. Usery made the motion, seconded by Mr. Spencer. Motion carried 3-0 on roll call. Pigg and Carter were counted as absent.
