Report: Wabash School District spent $9,361 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Wabash Community Unit School District 348 was up 1.3 percent from five years ago, according to the SE Illinois News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Wabash County school district spent $9,237 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,361 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,562 to 1,508 students over the same period.

Wabash's spending in 2019-20 was 35.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
