Illinois state Rep. Dave Severin will join state Sen. Dale Fowler on Tuesday, Aug. 23, to host a free senior citizens health and wellness fair at The HUB Recreation Center on West Main Street in Marion.
“This annual event offers free basic health screenings, and information and resources for seniors from across the region from dozens of health care and senior services providers,” Fowler said in a Facebook post this week. “We will have free refreshments and door prizes from dozens of vendors from across the area. I hope to see you there!”
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Severin, a Republican, was voted to the Illinois House in 2017 and has served on the Judiciary – Criminal and Mental Health & Addiction committee. He was elected to serve the 116th District on June 28 and will be sworn in in January 2023. The businessman and lifelong resident of the 117th District has been a strong supporter of seniors and first responders.
During the recent rainstorms, Severin thanked IDOT and Franklin County EMS for keeping individuals safe and informed, a North Egypt News report said.
