FORENSIC FALCONS CONTINUE WINNING STREAK AT HARPER COLLEGE

The Southeastern Illinois College Forensic Falcons hit the road again for the Harper College Litrenta Triangle tournament, hosted in Palatine, IL. With a squad of six competitors, SIC placed first in individual events for the weekend. The event hosted schools from Illinois, Kansas, Ohio, Virginia, and Missouri and featured both two and four-year universities competing.

Sophomore competitor Jenkin Naas was enthusiastic about the competition, “Harper was so much fun! I got the chance to reunite with some friends I hadn’t seen in a while, and make some new ones!” He added, “Also, getting to bond with my teammates outside of school means a lot to me.”

Coach Paul Cummins noted the importance of SIC’s victory, stating, “Even though this team didn’t have the size of the majority entered, they definitely won on quality.”

Each competition builds to the 2023 Phi Rho Pi National Tournament in Bethesda, Maryland.  The team is coached by Jenny Billman, Paul Cummins, and Rachel Parish.
