City of Carmi City Council met Aug. 6.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

1. Call to order by Mayor Pollard, Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.

2. Roll Call.

3. Approve July 16, 2024, Council Meeting Minutes.

4. For council consideration, discussion and possible approval.

a) Review and consider possible acceptance of bid allowing contracts to be executed on the Saunders and Meadow HMA Overlay and Extension Section 21-00097-00-PV MFT (Rebuild Illinois) Project.

b) Brown and Roberts, Inc. Job No. 2021-029 RBI Saunders Ave & Meadow for $7,136.63 (Paid from MFT)

c) Resolution 08.06.24; A Resolution adding Stacey Courson to the City of Carmi Accounts and Removing former employees.

d) Resolution 08.07.24; A resolution adding Brooke Harrison to Carmi Light and Water Vendor Accounts and Removing former employees.

e) Conger & Elliot Professional Corporation legal services for Rosebud Drive Water Main Upgrade for $82.50 (Pay from TIF 2).

f) Moran Economic Development, LLC Invoice #2421 for $1,900.00 for TIF Audit Reports (Payable half from TIF 1 and half from TIF 2).

g) Resolution 08.08.24; A resolution to open a checking account for the Rebuild Illinois Grant.

h) Motor Fuel Tax Construction Engineering Agreement with Brown & Roberts, Inc. for the Saunders to Sunnybrook project.

i) Possible approval to hire a new police officer.

5. Reports and/or updates from Mayor Pollard

6. Reports from Standing Committees.

7. Business or comments from visitors.

8. Closed Session to discuss personnel and property with no action to follow.

9. Adjournment
