Chairman’s Comments

Chairman Meeks brought the meeting to order.

Visitor Comments

Water drainage at the butterfly playground was discussed. Member Hopper noted that when it rains, the playground, mainly the swing area, is unusable for many days after.

Several options, such as re-mulching each year, will be brought to City Council.

Where designated crosswalks should go was discussed. Locations in need are the basketball court, pickleball courts, and down by the pavillion near golf course. This is to isolate crossing areas, improving overall safety.

Member Andrews asked about trees, and the city is looking into replacing trees & taking down limbs.

Member Deming asked about putting up information in the bathrooms about volunteer work, with all the Park board member names on it. The board agreed that city hall contact info should be included if they are interested in helping out, they can call City Hall.

Chairman Meeks will call Ryan Turner to see whether the trash cans & nest swing have come in.

Chairman Meeks asked if anyone had any further comments. With none, a motion was made by member Andrews and seconded by member Hopper.

Meeting dismissed at 5:25pm
