City of Carmi City Council met May 2.
Here is the agenda provided by the council:
1. Call to order by Mayor Pollard, Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.
2. Roll Call.
3. Approve April 18, 2023, Council Meeting Minutes.
4. Administering the oath of office to the newly-elected Alderperson’s by City Attorney, Greg Stewart.
5. For council consideration, discussion and possible approval:
a) Change July 4th meeting to Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 5:30 p.m.
b) Resolution 05.02.23; A resolution for the temporary closure of Main Street (IL 1 & IL 14) a state highway for the Corn Day Activities starting Friday, October 13, 2023 until Sunday, October 15, 2023.
c) Pay request: Brown & Roberts, Inc. Job#21-121 Burrell’s Woods Park Roadway Design Engineering Bill #2 for $26,129.10.
d) Pay request: Brown & Roberts, Inc. Bradshaw Park Drainage Design Engineering Bill 1 for $19,917.70.
e) Resolution 05.03.23; A resolution renewing the employee safety incentive program for the period of April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023.
