Fairfield Memorial Hospital has been recognized with a Gold Level Certificate in Completeness and Quality from the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Illinois State Cancer Registry. The award is given to facilities that achieve at least 95% completeness in case reporting, with no more than 3% of cases listed as unknown in race. This standard highlights the hospital’s performance in accurate, high-quality, and timely cancer registry reporting.

The hospital stated, "This achievement plays an important role in helping measure the true cancer burden in Illinois and ensures statewide cancer prevention and control efforts are directed where they are needed most."

Fairfield Memorial Hospital also noted its participation in the Illinois State Cancer Registry’s ongoing success. The registry has received the NAACCR Gold Standard for Registry Certification for 26 consecutive years, which reflects collaborative efforts among hospitals and cancer reporters across Illinois.

The hospital expressed appreciation for its staff and Oncology Data Specialist Trish McCormick. "A big thank you to our hardworking staff and Oncology Data Specialist, Trish McCormick for their commitment to data quality, patient care, and cancer prevention efforts," the statement read.
